"You're back?" he asked without interest, "it seems you're forgotten your manners, coming back without even an announcement."
"I did send a letter to you a week ago…" she responded, knowing in advance that her father didn't like surprises.

Len sat up feeling like a bolt of lightning had just traveled through her body. Confusion hit her for a minute before she could figure out where she was and what she was doing there. Rubbing the sleep off her eyes she looked at her surroundings, oh, that’s right, she fell asleep in the gardens again, she thought to herself as a yawn escaped from her mouth. “Len…” A shiver ran down her spine as she heard the same ghostly sound she thought had been in her head.
